The Team “Microbiota, Gut and Inflammation” from the St Antoine Research Center (Sorbonne University, Inserm) in Paris is looking for a highly motivated bioinformatics scientist preferably with expertise in Microbiome analysis (but not mandatory).
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will work in a multidisciplinary research team headed by Pr Harry Sokol (http://en.crsa.fr/equipe-philippe-seksik.html, https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2914-1822) and exploring the role of gut microbiota-host interactions in health and diseases, with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The applicant will be supervised by experienced bioinformaticians and will interact with wet lab scientists including microbiologists, cell biologists, immunologists, biochemists , and clinicians. The applicant will be in charge of several projects involving the analysis of human gut microbiota sequencing data (and possibly other types of Omics datasets . The successful candidate will work as part of a team, where he/she will have to manage his/her own independent projects and projects in collaboration with other researchers (wet lab scientists and bioinformaticians).
